This picture I painted with her in mind. It represents all her sacrifices, everything she’s given up, her selflessness, the sadness and pain she’s felt whenever we disappointed her, the times she’s functioned within constraints of society and family and those constraints that were self-imposed – only to give my brother and me the quality of life we live today; who we are today and what we are today.
