Was getting really bored with this Maverick business. Everyone in the world knows I’m non – conformist, I defy traditions, and can’t accept supposed truths without logical explanation, that I still don’t know the meaning of “blind faith” etc etc
and alot of my people, family, friends think – this one’s a tough nut! Or plainly putting it – that I’m a pain in the ass!
Sometimes my radical thoughts get to people. They think I’m to hard to figure out and they don’t have the time. So they leave me alone. Not that I’m complaining.
Most of them think I’m a wierdo. A misfit. (Ok I do agree with the misfit part – if that is what it makes a person who is not always ready to accept crap rules and regulations by the society. By crap, I mean illogical and unnecessary. Mind you, everyone has their own Point of View. So what I think is crap may mean greatly to another – so please spare me the “u self righteous ….” kind of commentary)
So anyway, I’m 15 days to go …. and waiting for baby. Thought of changing my blog name into something that reflects my feelings 80% of the time.

and the days…. they melt slowly into the night… and then the night breaks into the colors of dawn … and within moments the sun sprinkles its brilliant light on us.
this is the most romantic I could get while describing day and night at this point when the minutes in my day JUST WON’T PASS.
Though I’m having a great time with my family, especially with my mom, I DO get BORED (the word my tongue has uttered most in life)
It’s not like I don’t like being with family in India. It’s just that I have absolutely nothing to do at home. Or as a routine. And then D-Day is getting closer.
So all I do is read up about it. Think of DH and the Baby. Think of whether he will be able to make it early. Think of all those fears about the health and normalcy of my baby. And then I’m on high alert all the time. Think of what else the baby may need. Cross off all the items on my mental checklist of things to be carried to the hospital. And thinking whether I’ve indeed purchased all the items on another checklist – of the things baby will need after birth. Oh! And of course, I’ve already packed my hospital bag. So I guess the nesting instinct is high.
The only thing that actually makes the minutes melt slowly is the anxiety due to my husband’s absence. And what makes it worse is that on my last visit to my gynecologist in Mumbai, he said that my uterus was tight and I could deliver early. And even though he’s given me a capsule to relax my uterus, and therefore delay delivery – I’m on tenterhooks without DH.
Oh……………….. Just another few days. Hope emotional blackmail works with God!
This week my cousin from Bangalore, Faroo, visited Mumbai. We rekindled memories and updated each other on our lives. We read her personal diary (that she started at perhaps 7 or 8 years). We rolled about in laughter and then we looked at pictures and talked and talked..
And then we found ourselves standing in front of mirrors – dressing for an outing. She brought back memories of the days when we’d stand together and throw smart ass comments at each other. About biological clocks. About sizes. About shapes.
This is what she recollected after 4 years. A spontaneous comment, I also used to throw at her not so spontaneously.
“Umme, you are in Shape. Round is a Shape.”
I thank PinkLady for giving me the Marie Antoinette award. Not sure what Marie A. did during her lifetime so just doing a quick read up… Oh! The read up will take more than all the patience I have with history so skipping it and revisiting Pinklady’s blog to have the quick read up….
Fun and Fearless and an epitome of courageousness…. I’m glad I’m thought of in these ways and I not be all these at all times in life but its something that I would love to be..
I’m glad the guillotine thingy is outdated!! Wouldn’t be too much fun now, would it?

Loved this movie and really hope to Download it… If only I could find the download somewhere…
